The visiting section changes with demand. Smaller allocations commonly use the Jim McLean Fair Play Stand, while larger followings can extend into the Jerry Kerr and, for selected fixtures, Norman Jamieson Stand.
Current ground guidance puts the regular visiting capacity at around 1,400. When demand and segregation allow, the allocation can expand to roughly 3,500 across additional stands.
The Dundee derby, Celtic and Rangers fixtures and cup ties can use different combinations or tighter controls. Always follow the stand, turnstile and allocation published by the visiting club for that match.
The Jim McLean Fair Play Stand forms the usual core away section beside the Jerry Kerr Stand. Larger allocations can extend through the Jerry Kerr and sometimes into the Norman Jamieson Stand behind the west goal.
Because the route differs by stand, do not assume the entrance used on a previous visit remains correct.
Tannadice is a compact all-seater stadium with stands close to the pitch. Views from the modern Fair Play section are generally clear; parts of the older Jerry Kerr layout have tighter legroom and a more angled outlook.
The away concourse provides the usual hot food, snacks and soft drinks, with the available kiosks depending on which stands open.
Alcohol is not routinely available to general spectators at Scottish grounds. Check the visiting club's current payment guidance and carry a working card as well as a charged phone.
Arrive early when more than one away stand is in use, as searches and segregation can slow the final approach. Only use tickets issued through the authorised club sale.
Accessible seating, companion tickets and any parking must be arranged in advance; the appropriate entry point depends on the allocated stand.
