Privacy policy
Away Day Pubs is operated by MW Ventures Ltd. This policy explains how information submitted through this website is used.
Information we collect
We collect details you provide when suggesting a venue, reporting an error, posting a supporter report, uploading a supporter photo, voting, or claiming a listing. This may include your name, email address, role, venue information, photographs and the content of your submission. A random browser identifier is stored to prevent repeat voting; it is not connected to your name or email address. Signed-in features may also receive your account identifier and email address.
How we use it
We use this information to operate and improve the directory, verify submissions, prevent misuse, respond to enquiries, administer venue claims and keep an audit trail of changes. Supporter reports and uploaded photos may be displayed publicly. We do not sell personal information.
Legal basis and retention
We process submissions and account information where necessary for our legitimate interests in running the service, and analytics only with consent. We retain records only for as long as reasonably needed for these purposes, legal obligations and dispute handling.
Sharing and storage
Information may be processed by service providers used to host, secure and measure the website. Public comments, photographs and venue information may be visible to visitors; contact details supplied for administration are not published.
Your rights
You may ask for access, correction or deletion of your personal information, or object to certain processing. Only upload photographs you have permission to share. Email info@awaydaypubs.co.uk to contact the site operator. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes
We may update this notice as the service develops. The date above shows the latest revision.
