Tannadice is north of Dundee city centre, around 1.8 miles from the station and almost next door to Dens Park. A football-event restricted zone surrounds both grounds, so public transport or a reserved lawful space is preferable to searching the local streets.
Dundee station is beside the waterfront. The walk to Tannadice is about 30-35 minutes and climbs through the centre towards Hilltown and Clepington Road.
Dundee has direct services from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and other Scottish cities. Check the final return service and allow for the post-match walk before committing to a tight train.
Frequent local services run north from the centre towards Strathmartine Road, Dens Road and Clepington Road. Matchday controls can alter stops, so identify the return boarding point before kick-off.
Taxis are convenient before the busiest period but should use a collection point beyond Tannadice Street after full-time.
Use the A90 and city approaches to reach a booked car park, not simply DD3 7JW. Tannadice Street and the surrounding residential roads become congested and controlled.
Dundee United confirmed that the restricted football-event parking zone was extended for 2026/27. Signs define the active zone and unauthorised parking risks enforcement.
Tannadice and Dens share the same compact street network. Walking downhill towards the centre or waiting for the first traffic surge to pass is usually safer than relying on a tight taxi or rail connection.
