Visiting supporters are normally seated in the eastern end of the South Stand, in sections P, Q and R beside the uncovered Merkland Road end.
A normal visiting allocation is commonly around 2,500 in one side of the South Stand. For selected high-demand or cup fixtures, the away area can extend and published ground guidance gives a maximum near 4,500.
Segregation, demand and policing determine the blocks actually released. Treat the visiting club's ticket announcement as the authority for the exact number, sections and collection process.
Away seats are normally in South Stand sections P, Q and R, towards the Merkland Road end. The stand runs along the touchline, so the view becomes more angled from the seats closest to the corner.
Follow the turnstile letter and section printed on the ticket rather than approaching a familiar gate from an older guide.
The South Stand is covered but Pittodrie is close to the North Sea and can feel markedly colder or wetter than the city centre. Rows near the front are more exposed to wind-driven rain.
Support pillars and the shallow older structure can affect sightlines from some seats; the ticket allocation determines the exact view.
The away concourse provides hot food, snacks and soft drinks. Do not assume alcohol will be sold in the visiting section.
A recently licensed alcohol trial at Pittodrie has applied to a designated home area and excludes higher-risk fixtures; it is not an away-concourse offer.
Allow time for searches and any ticket collection specified by the visiting club. Supporters requiring wheelchair positions, companion tickets, accessible entry or parking should arrange them before travel because space is limited.
