Make a day of it
The safest pub plan is either Liverpool Street before a direct train to Stratford or the verified Sportsman route. Very few venues immediately beside London Stadium reliably admit visiting colours.
Use Hamilton Hall or the mapped Bishopsgate area, then take the Elizabeth line, Central line or National Rail to Stratford.
Arrive early, use The Sportsman or a suitable Westfield food-and-drink venue, then follow the Olympic Park route to Bridge 4.
Use the DLR for the shortest published stadium walk and the most direct approach to the visiting entrance.
11:15 - arrive at Liverpool Street or Stratford and use only a venue whose category suits visiting supporters.
13:20 - travel or walk into Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and aim for Bridge 4.
13:40 - clear the bridge security search and continue to Turnstile D before the peak queue.
17:00 onwards - follow the away-only exit route; consider Pudding Mill Lane, Hackney Wick or Stratford International if Stratford is being held or heavily crowded.
The Sportsman and Hamilton Hall are the two mapped away-friendly choices. Liverpool Street/Bishopsgate and Westfield Stratford are recommended areas rather than guaranteed pub policies. The Carpenter's Arms, Queen's Head and Riverside East fan zone are home-only, while the Turnstile D concourse is the ticket-holder fallback.
Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the London Aquatics Centre and the ArcelorMittal Orbit sit beside the ground. Hackney Wick has canal-side food and drink, while central Stratford and Westfield offer the simplest weatherproof option.
These options keep the final matchday journey relatively short. Compare event-night prices, parking and cancellation terms before booking.
A central base is usually better for the station, food and the evening after the match.
Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 4 October 2026.
