Walton & Hersham travel guide

Getting there & parking

Elmbridge Xcel Sports Hub is an away-day destination where the final approach matters. Check the fixture information before travel because parking, segregation and coach arrangements can change.

Parking options

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

Walton & Hersham's current directions confirm that supporter parking is available on site, but they do not publish a fixed price, reservation guarantee or permanent capacity. Arrive early and follow the matchday stewarding rather than assuming a bay will remain available.

The car park is shared within a busy sports complex. Accessible parking, coach space and any exceptional traffic plan should be confirmed with the club before travel; do not use nearby residential or leisure-centre spaces contrary to their signs.

Private matchday parking

JustPark lists reservable managed spaces and private driveways in Walton-on-Thames. Search around the stadium postcode, then check the real walking route, access window and cancellation terms before booking.

Private spaces are independent of the club; a very close driveway may still sit inside the post-match traffic queue.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train

Walton & Hersham lists both Walton-on-Thames and Hersham as roughly a 50-minute walk from the Sports Hub. Walton-on-Thames has the broader town-centre choice, but neither station is a quick last leg; allow time for a taxi or use the current bus plan rather than starting a late walk.

By bus or coach

Falcon route 564 links Hersham Green with Xcel Leisure Centre. Check the live timetable, operating day and return before travel because the service is less frequent than an urban football shuttle. Official coaches and minibuses should obtain the fixture's drop-off or parking instruction in advance.

Driving

Use the A244 and the signed Waterside Drive approach. The Sports Hub entrance is separate from the adjacent leisure-centre access, so follow the club signs and expect the shared access and on-site car park to become busy close to kick-off.

Use KT12 2JP only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around Elmbridge Xcel Sports Hub to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 11 October 2026.
