Torquay can be a full seaside day or a compact stadium trip. The practical choices are Torre plus the 25-minute walk, the harbour followed by the 35A, or a pre-booked private space with enough margin for residential traffic.

Harbour and 35A
Use the wider harbour and central choice, then take the live-checked 35A to the Plainmoor shops before the pre-match peak.
Pre-booked driver
Reserve a Plainmoor-area driveway or managed event space for the complete match window; do not depend on finding an unrestricted residential bay.
A sensible 3pm plan
11:15 - arrive at Torre, the harbour or the private space booked for the whole event window.
11:30-13:15 - use a mapped venue after checking the live door policy, or confirm that the stadium bars and fan zone are operating.
13:20 - take the 35A or complete the uphill walk, then check whether Wollens Terrace or Bristow's Bench applies before joining the Warbro Road queue.
17:00 onwards - use the saved 35A or rail plan, or allow Plainmoor Road and the residential parking area to clear before driving.
Food and pubs
Boots & Laces and The Gulls Nest have the strongest current mixed-supporter evidence, and the outdoor fan zone is a useful fixture-led option. The Fortune of War is verified active but remains check-first; the harbour and town centre form the broader pre-match area.
Things to do
Torquay harbour, Torre Abbey and the seafront suit an early arrival. Babbacombe Downs and the Model Village are closer to Plainmoor, but opening hours and the final walk should be checked before building them into a winter or evening trip.

A central base is usually better for the station, food and the evening after the match.
