Arrive via Southend Central or Victoria, visit the waterfront, then allow 30-40 minutes to reach Roots Hall.

10:30-11:00 - arrive for the seafront, or 11:45 at Prittlewell for a shorter day.
12:00-13:30 - use central Southend or a mapped check-first venue.

17:00 - walk to Prittlewell or let Victoria Avenue traffic start to clear.
Food and pubs
The pub map includes the Railway Tavern and Spread Eagle as possible, check-first choices. Door policy can tighten for large followings, so keep a central alternative.
Things to do
Southend Pier, the seafront and central attractions can fill a long Saturday. They are not next to Roots Hall, so leave enough time to walk or take a short bus/taxi back north.

Premier Inn Southend Airport and Holiday Inn Southend suit drivers and Greater Anglia rail users. Both require a walk, bus or taxi to Roots Hall.
Seafront hotels
Park Inn by Radisson Palace and Seven Hotel are central waterfront options for a longer weekend. Allow time to travel north to the match.
