Make a day of it

Plan your Nottingham Forest away day

Forest combines a central Nottingham start with a pleasant walk over Trent Bridge. The mapped fan zones can simplify the final hour, but both their opening and the Lower John Robertson allocation depend on the fixture.

01

Station and canal route

Use Canalhouse or another mapped venue, then walk 20-25 minutes over Trent Bridge.

02

Away fan-zone route

Use Meadow Lane or Nottingham Rugby only after the fixture notice confirms admission and opening time.

03

Pre-booked driver

Reserve County Hall, an official partner site or a verified private space and follow its exact approach.

A sensible 3pm plan

11:15 - arrive at Nottingham station and use a correctly categorised central venue.

13:10 - start the riverside walk or move to a confirmed fan zone.

13:45 - cross Trent Bridge and identify entrance A or B for the John Robertson block.

17:00 - walk back towards the station while Pavilion Road and West Bridgford traffic clear.

Food and pubs

Meadow Lane is the designated away fan zone; Nottingham Rugby has a mixed fan zone. Hooters, Nottingham Rowing Club and Canalhouse are mapped friendly, Stratford Haven and the city centre are check-first, while Larwood & Voce, Trent Navigation and Trent Bridge Inn are home-only.

Things to do

Nottingham Castle, the Lace Market and National Justice Museum suit a central arrival. Trent Bridge cricket ground is beside the football stadium and provides the clearest local landmark.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 30 September 2026.
