Getting there & parking

The City Ground is an away-day destination where the final approach matters. Check the fixture information before travel because parking, segregation and coach arrangements can change.

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

The City Ground has no dependable general supporter car park. Forest's January 2026 guide used County Hall, Loughborough Road, NG2 7QP at £10 for one fixture, while other official or partner sites are sold by match; availability and price must be reconfirmed.

Six accessible away spaces have recently been offered at £10, booked through the visiting club. Away coaches and pre-booked event parking use separate approaches; do not enter West Bridgford looking for street space.

Private matchday parking

JustPark lists reservable managed spaces and private driveways in Nottingham. Search around the stadium postcode, then check the real walking route, access window and cancellation terms before booking.

Private spaces are independent of the club; a very close driveway may still sit inside the post-match traffic queue.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train

Nottingham station is about a 20-25 minute walk from the City Ground via London Road and Trent Bridge. Regular buses towards West Bridgford shorten the walk, but matchday diversions and full vehicles mean the riverside route is often more predictable.

By bus or coach

Nottingham City Transport and Trentbarton services use Trent Bridge and West Bridgford. Check the live stop because closures move buses away from the stadium; the walk from the station is flat and well used by both sets of supporters.

Driving

Use the M1 route appropriate to your direction, then the A52 or A453 and signs for West Bridgford. The streets around Trent Bridge have resident permits and event controls; road closures isolate parts of Pavilion Road before and after the game.

Use NG2 5FJ only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around The City Ground to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 30 September 2026.
