Getting there & parking

Etihad Stadium is an away-day destination where the final approach matters. Check the fixture information before travel because parking, segregation and coach arrangements can change.

Parking options

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

Manchester City requires matchday parking to be pre-booked. Current standard prices are listed at £12 for vehicles with two or more occupants and £14 for a solo driver, with Blue, Orange, Green and Vermillion entrances assigned by the booking; reconfirm the price for the fixture.

Belle Vue Park & Ride may also be pre-booked. Away coaches and minibuses use the Grey Car Park, while visiting Blue Badge spaces are allocated through the visiting club rather than general sale.

Private matchday parking

JustPark lists reservable managed spaces and private driveways in Manchester. Search around the stadium postcode, then check the real walking route, access window and cancellation terms before booking.

Private spaces are independent of the club; a very close driveway may still sit inside the post-match traffic queue.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train

Manchester Piccadilly is the main inter-city arrival. Etihad Campus tram stop on the East Manchester line is beside the stadium; walking from Piccadilly takes roughly 25-30 minutes along the signed route.

By bus or coach

Bee Network services use Ashton New Road and the wider Etihad Campus, while tram frequencies increase for major events. Check live services because queues and temporary post-match boarding controls are normal. Official visiting coaches and minibuses use the Grey Car Park opposite the away turnstiles.

Driving

The Etihad is signed from Manchester's inner ring road and the M60 approaches, but event traffic and construction around the campus can change car-park access. Use the postcode in the parking confirmation rather than only the stadium postcode.

Use M11 3FF only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around Etihad Stadium to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 3 October 2026.
