Make a day of it

Plan your Maidenhead United away day

Maidenhead is a compact rail-and-town-centre away day. The strongest plans are station-to-Bell Street, a short central pub stop, or a pre-booked long-stay parking space with a walk to the correct entrance.

01

Rail to Bell Street

Arrive at Maidenhead station, cross to the Bell Street side and use that entrance only if the fixture notice confirms segregation.

02

Town-centre stop

Use a mapped check-first pub on King Street or High Street, then allow ten minutes to reach whichever turnstile is operating.

03

Pre-booked driver

Use an official long-stay car park or reserve a Maidenhead driveway or managed space for the complete event window; never rely on York Road.

A sensible 3pm plan

11:50 - arrive at Maidenhead station or the long-stay parking location checked for the full match period.

12:00-13:25 - eat in the centre or use Stripes only while shared visiting access is confirmed.

13:30 - check whether Bell Street or the main York Road entrance applies and enter the exact section shown on the ticket.

17:00 onwards - return to the station or allow town-centre car parks and York Road pedestrian traffic to clear.

Food and pubs

Stripes Sports Bar is open to the public and is the clearest on-site option while the match is unsegregated. O'Neill's and The Bear are verified active but remain check-first; Maidenhead station, King Street and the High Street form the recommended central area.

Things to do

The Maidenhead Heritage Centre, Chapel Arches and the Thames riverside can extend an early arrival or overnight stay. York Road is exceptionally central, but leave enough time to reach the correct Bell Street or York Road entrance before the turnstiles become busy.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 9 October 2026.
