Getting there & parking

York Road Stadium is an away-day destination where the final approach matters. Check the fixture information before travel because parking, segregation and coach arrangements can change.

Parking options

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

Maidenhead United provides no supporter parking at York Road. The current official guide lists the Clock Tower or Bell Street, Stafferton Way and Vicus Way long-stay options, all within a short walk; read the live tariff, closing time and level restrictions before leaving the vehicle.

Blue Badge parking is available on Bell Street rather than in designated stadium bays. Arrange any additional accessible drop-off directly. Coach operators must use the current drop-off and remote parking instruction because there is no coach parking at the ground.

Private matchday parking

JustPark lists reservable managed spaces and private driveways in Maidenhead. Search around the stadium postcode, then check the real walking route, access window and cancellation terms before booking.

Private spaces are independent of the club; a very close driveway may still sit inside the post-match traffic queue.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train

Maidenhead station is directly opposite the Bell Street side of York Road. Allow about five minutes to the segregated visitor turnstiles and up to ten minutes to the main entrance. The station has regular Great Western and Elizabeth line services from London and connections from Reading and Oxford; check engineering work before travel.

By bus or coach

Local buses serve Maidenhead town centre and the station rather than a dedicated stadium interchange. Alight centrally for the short walk to the entrance printed on the ticket. Away coaches cannot park at York Road and must follow the drop-off and remote-parking instructions issued for the fixture.

Driving

From the M4 leave at Junction 8/9 and follow the A404(M)/A308(M) and Maidenhead Central signs towards Stafferton Way and York Road. From the M40 use Junction 4 and the A404 towards Maidenhead. Do not drive to the ground expecting a supporter space.

Use SL6 1SF only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around York Road Stadium to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 9 October 2026.
