Make a day of it

Plan your Leeds United away day

Elland Road is a city-centre-based away day with a long final walk and a useful away fan zone. The live construction plan matters more than an older ground guide.

01

City centre and walk

Use central Leeds, then allow 40 minutes through Holbeck to the West Stand away corridor.

02

Football bus

Confirm the current city-centre departure and leave a backup walking plan for the return.

03

Booked driver

Buy the council, club or private space before travel and follow its named M621 approach.

A sensible 3pm plan

11:00 - arrive at Leeds station and use the centre or a mapped check-first venue.

13:05 - begin the walk or join the confirmed football bus.

13:45 - use the away fan zone if open, then identify entrance 1, 2 or Howard's.

17:00 - expect heavy Holbeck foot traffic and slow M621 approaches while the crowd clears.

Food and pubs

Commercial Inn, Old White Hart and Howard's Bar are mapped check-first. Old Peacock and Billy's Bar are home-only, Leeds city centre is the recommended wider area, and the West Stand concourse is the post-turnstile fallback.

Things to do

Leeds Art Gallery, Kirkgate Market and the Royal Armouries fit a central arrival. Holbeck's industrial quarter lies on the walking route but does not remove the need to allow 35-45 minutes to the ground.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 30 September 2026.
