Getting there & parking

Elland Road is an away-day destination where the final approach matters. Check the fixture information before travel because parking, segregation and coach arrangements can change.

Parking options

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

Elland Road and council matchday car parks are advance-booked and can sell out. A September 2026 notice confirmed that unbooked cars would be turned away; accessible and motorcycle spaces had also been relocated during the works.

Stourton park-and-ride provides free parking with a paid bus into Leeds, but it is not a direct football shuttle unless specifically advertised. Away coaches and minibuses use separate paid arrangements and must follow the visiting club's instructions.

Private matchday parking

JustPark lists reservable managed spaces and private driveways in Leeds. Search around the stadium postcode, then check the real walking route, access window and cancellation terms before booking.

Private spaces are independent of the club; a very close driveway may still sit inside the post-match traffic queue.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train

Leeds station is about two miles from Elland Road. The walk takes 35-45 minutes via Holbeck and can be busy after full-time; current matchday buses or a pre-booked taxi are alternatives, but road traffic makes tight connections risky.

By bus or coach

Leeds operates football buses and an away fan zone in the West Stand car-park area, normally opening two hours before kick-off. Confirm the departure point and return service for the fixture because redevelopment has changed pedestrian corridors and parking around the West Stand.

Driving

Use the M621 and the signed Junction 1 or Junction 2 approach specified by the parking booking. Construction occupies former West Stand areas, Fullerton car park is unavailable for 2026/27, and unbooked vehicles are turned away when council parking sells out.

Use LS11 0ES only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around Elland Road to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 30 September 2026.
