Inside The Rock
The visiting configuration at The Rock is fixture-dependent. Use the away club's sale notice for the exact section, entrance and ticket total.
The Rock has one covered seated stand. Dumbarton does not publish one permanent visiting ticket total; the away section, segregation line and number released are set for each fixture.
Recent official match notices have directed visitors through turnstiles 3 and 4, but current 2026/27 tickets and previews remain authoritative. The 2,020 figure is the capacity of the whole ground, not an away allocation.
Visiting supporters are normally placed at one end of the single Main Stand, with their own turnstile route when segregation is used. Smaller matches and cup ties can operate differently, so follow the gate and block printed on the ticket.
The stadium is compact and all spectator seating is on the same side of the artificial pitch. Bar 72 may use an entrance procedure separate from the normal visiting route; do not cross through an unapproved home turnstile.
The covered Main Stand gives an elevated side-on view with no opposite stand. The front rows can catch wind and rain from the Clyde waterfront, and the low sun can be noticeable at some kick-off times.
Dumbarton installed an artificial playing surface for 2026/27. The steep Dumbarton Rock backdrop is distinctive, but it provides little protection on the Castle Road approach.
Dumbarton's current matchday portal offers pies, bovril and snacks for collection from the pie hut. Outlet, collection slot, payment method and stock can change with the fixture, so do not rely on the same menu at every match.
Bar 72 has admitted both sets of supporters in published match notices, but opening and the turnstile route are not permanently guaranteed. It remains check-first on the pub map rather than a designated away bar.
Dumbarton East is not step-free; the club recommends Dumbarton Central for supporters needing step-free station access and says train ramps can be arranged with ScotRail. Book wheelchair or amenity seating, a companion ticket and one of the stadium's disability spaces through the clubs before travel.
