Make a day of it
Chester offers a strong historic-city away day, but the Deva lies beyond the centre on the Bumpers Lane industrial estate. Build the final bus, taxi or long walk into the plan rather than drifting west too late.
Use the centre, then take the current 10A and finish with the Bumpers Lane walk.
Use Telford's Warehouse after checking admission, then allow 15-18 minutes to reach the stadium.
Confirm the £5 stadium parking arrangement or reserve a legitimate private space around CH1 4LT.
11:15 - arrive at Chester station and use the city-centre mapped area or a verified venue.
13:15 - board a checked 10A or begin the 45-50 minute walk towards Bumpers Lane.
14:15 - find West Stand turnstile 7 and leave time for the allocated-seat entry checks.
17:00 - expect the stadium car park and Bumpers Lane to clear slowly; use the checked return bus, walk or booked taxi.
The Blues Bar is mapped as check-first because Chester says away access varies. Telford's Warehouse and The Brewery Tap are current public venues without permanent colours policies, Chester city centre is the recommended wider area, and the West Stand concourse is mapped after entry.
Chester's Roman walls, cathedral, Rows and amphitheatre are all walkable from the central pub cluster. The racecourse and River Dee also suit an early arrival, but protect the 45-50 minute stadium walk or a checked 10A connection.
These options keep the final matchday journey relatively short. Compare event-night prices, parking and cancellation terms before booking.
A central base is usually better for the station, food and the evening after the match.
Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 1 October 2026.
