Getting there & parking

The Meadow is an away-day destination where the final approach matters. Check the fixture information before travel because parking, segregation and coach arrangements can change.

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

Chesham United's current directions list matchday parking at The Meadow via the main entrance for £2 per car and £5 per minibus, with cash and correct change requested. Reserved areas reduce general capacity, so arrival is not a guarantee of a space.

The club also names free car parking on The Moor gravel hardstanding, subject to a height restriction, plus Watermeadow, Star Yard and Chesham Station town car parks within roughly 5-10 minutes. Coaches must be arranged in advance and accessible parking or drop-off should be confirmed directly.

Private matchday parking

JustPark lists reservable managed spaces and private driveways in Chesham. Search around the stadium postcode, then check the real walking route, access window and cancellation terms before booking.

Private spaces are independent of the club; a very close driveway may still sit inside the post-match traffic queue.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train

Chesham is the western terminus of the Metropolitan line. The club describes the signed station walk via Station Road, High Street and the Red Lion as 5-10 minutes, while a current visiting guide allows about 15; use the longer margin on a busy matchday and check late-evening engineering work.

By bus or coach

Local buses serve Chesham town centre, but there is no dedicated football shuttle. Check the live stop and final service if connecting from Amersham or Berkhamsted. Supporters' coaches must contact Chesham United in advance so parking and the required arrival time can be assigned.

Driving

The usual M25 approach leaves at Junction 18 for the A404 towards Amersham, then uses the A4154 and A416 into Chesham. At the roundabout after the two petrol stations, take the ground exit for Amy Lane and follow stewards rather than circling the residential approaches.

Use HP5 1NE only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around The Meadow to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 6 October 2026.
