York offers an excellent city-centre away day, but the stadium is three miles away at Monks Cross. The final bus or pre-booked parking is the part that needs a timetable and margin.

Stay centrally for the evening and use public transport to and from the match.

10:45 - arrive at York station or the confirmed Monks Cross space.
11:15-13:00 - use York Tap, the centre or nearby attractions.
13:05 - begin the bus or taxi journey to the stadium.
17:00 - expect queues for buses and the A1237 after the match.

Things to do
York Minster, the city walls and the National Railway Museum make a strong early-arrival itinerary. Allow at least 45-60 minutes for the final bus and stadium entry from the centre.
