Getting there & parking

The Optima Stadium is an away-day destination where the final approach matters. Check the fixture information before travel because parking, segregation and coach arrangements can change.

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

The stadium has a first-come supporters' car park. The most recent detailed visitor guide, dated 26 August 2025, listed £2 per vehicle with cashless payment; treat that price as dated and confirm the current charge before setting out.

That guide directed overflow towards authorised nearby industrial-estate parking and warned supporters not to use the housing estate opposite. Permission and availability can change, so use only the current club-directed area; accessible and coach spaces must be arranged in advance.

Private matchday parking

JustPark lists reservable managed spaces and private driveways in Weston-super-Mare. Search around the stadium postcode, then check the real walking route, access window and cancellation terms before booking.

Private spaces are independent of the club; a very close driveway may still sit inside the post-match traffic queue.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train

Weston-super-Mare is the practical rail arrival and is roughly two miles from the Optima Stadium. The walk takes about 40-45 minutes; route 7 or a taxi is the better final leg for most visitors. Check Great Western Railway engineering work and the last return before travel.

By bus or coach

First route 7 serves the Weston Football Club stop on Winterstoke Road from the station and town-centre corridor. Save the live outward and return times because evening and Sunday frequencies can differ. Official coaches should follow the parking and drop-off instructions issued for the fixture.

Driving

Approach from the A370 or M5 Junction 21, then use the A371 and The Runway access to the stadium. Current visiting guidance says not to route heavy vehicles over the weak Winterstoke Road bridge; use the signed approach and the entrance shown in the match notice.

Use BS24 9AA only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around The Optima Stadium to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 11 October 2026.
