Getting there & parking

Vanloq Community Stadium is an away-day destination where the final approach matters. Check the fixture information before travel because parking, segregation and coach arrangements can change.

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

The Spartans' current stadium guide says on-site car parking is highly unlikely on matchday. Do not travel expecting a general supporter car park; accessible parking and any coach or minibus position must be arranged with the club in advance.

Responsible on-street parking may exist locally, but restrictions, driveways and event controls must be respected. Public transport or a pre-booked legitimate private space is the safer plan.

Private matchday parking

JustPark lists reservable managed spaces and private driveways in Edinburgh. Search around the stadium postcode, then check the real walking route, access window and cancellation terms before booking.

Private spaces are independent of the club; a very close driveway may still sit inside the post-match traffic queue.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train

Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket are the main rail arrivals, but neither is walkably close for most supporters. Continue by a checked bus towards Ferry Road, Crewe Toll or Pilton Drive and allow generous time for city traffic; Haymarket can be the simpler western connection.

By bus or coach

The club's current guide lists routes 21 and 27 along Ferry Road and routes 19, 22, 24, 29 and 37 to Crewe Toll, about a five-minute walk away. Routes and stops can change, so verify the live journey and return stop before departure. Visiting coaches need advance instructions from the clubs.

Driving

Approach north Edinburgh via the A90, Ferry Road or Crewe Road, then follow the current route to Pilton Drive. The final streets are residential and the club says stadium parking is highly unlikely, so do not circulate around the turnstiles looking for a space.

Use EH5 2HF only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around Vanloq Community Stadium to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 30 September 2026.
