Make a day of it

Plan your Stranraer away day

Stranraer is a compact coastal away day with the station, town-centre bars and Stair Park linked by a straightforward walk. Build the trip around the limited return timetable or a confirmed parking plan.

01

Rail and town centre

Arrive at Stranraer station, use the Fitba' Bar or a checked central venue, then walk east to Stair Park.

02

Pavilion Bar first

Go directly to the ground, use the explicitly mixed-supporter bar outside the away turnstile and enter the current section.

03

Confirmed drive

Arrive early for weather-dependent grass parking or reserve a private space and finish the approach on foot.

A sensible 3pm plan

11:45 - arrive at Stranraer station, town centre or the confirmed parking area.

12:10-13:35 - use the Fitba' Bar, the check-first Grapes or the all-supporter Pavilion Bar.

13:40 - confirm segregation and the entrance named in the fixture notice.

14:05 - enter the allocated terrace or stand section and check the day's kiosk payment method.

17:00 - return to the town centre, station or parking area with the limited onward timetable in hand.

Food and pubs

The Pavilion Bar and Stranraer FC Fitba' Bar explicitly welcome visiting supporters. The Grapes is verified current but mapped check-first, Stranraer town centre is the recommended wider area, and the visiting concourse is shown separately.

Things to do

Stranraer waterfront, Agnew Park and the Castle of St John fit an early arrival. The ferry ports at Cairnryan are outside town, so do not confuse their transport stops with Stranraer station or leave the final connection to chance.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 30 September 2026.
