Getting there & parking

LIME Stadium at Stair Park is an away-day destination where the final approach matters. Check the fixture information before travel because parking, segregation and coach arrangements can change.

Parking options

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

Stranraer currently advertises free parking on the grass areas inside Stair Park. It is unreserved, dependent on ground conditions and subject to the day's stewarding plan, so arrive early and do not assume every grass area is open.

Accessible parking and visiting-coach positions should be agreed with the clubs before travel. Use only the entrance directed in the fixture notice and leave pedestrian routes clear.

Private matchday parking

JustPark lists reservable managed spaces and private driveways in Stranraer. Search around the stadium postcode, then check the real walking route, access window and cancellation terms before booking.

Private spaces are independent of the club; a very close driveway may still sit inside the post-match traffic queue.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train

Stranraer station is beside the harbour, roughly a mile from Stair Park. Allow about 20-25 minutes to walk through the town centre and east along London Road; the station has step-free access, but confirm the sparse onward and return timetable before travelling.

By bus or coach

The town-centre bus stops are convenient for North Strand Street and the walk to the ground. Regional services approach from Ayr, Cairnryan and Dumfries, but evening and Sunday frequencies can be limited. Check the live timetable in both directions; visiting coaches must follow the parking instructions issued for the fixture.

Driving

Use the A77 from Ayr and Cairnryan or the A75 from Dumfries, then follow signs for London Road and Stair Park. The ground sits inside the public park, so approach slowly, protect pedestrian routes and follow stewards rather than driving across grass that has not been opened for parking.

Use DG9 8BS only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around LIME Stadium at Stair Park to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 30 September 2026.
