Getting there & parking

The Brewery Field is an away-day destination where the final approach matters. Check the fixture information before travel because parking, segregation and coach arrangements can change.

Parking options

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

Spennymoor's standing visitor guide tells supporters not to park in the private streets around The Brewery Field and recommends public transport while the club works with local authorities on a dedicated area.

Some 2026 fixture guides used free parking at nearby St Charles Primary School, but that arrangement is not advertised as permanent. Only use it when the live match guide confirms availability; arrange accessible drop-off or parking with the club in advance.

Private matchday parking

JustPark lists reservable managed spaces and private driveways in Spennymoor. Search around the stadium postcode, then check the real walking route, access window and cancellation terms before booking.

Private spaces are independent of the club; a very close driveway may still sit inside the post-match traffic queue.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train

Durham is the practical mainline railhead, about 6.1 miles from The Brewery Field. The club directs arrivals to a taxi or the number 6 bus; do not plan to walk from the station. Darlington is a longer alternative with the number 8 or a taxi.

By bus or coach

The club's current guide says the number 6 runs from Durham city centre and stops directly outside The Brewery Field, with a frequent daytime service. Check the live timetable and evening return before travel. Away coaches should follow the fixture-specific drop-off and parking instructions.

Driving

Use the A1(M) and A688 approaches for Spennymoor, then follow signs towards Durham Road and Wood Vue. The final streets are residential and subject to matchday restrictions, so navigate to an approved car park or booking rather than circling the ground.

Use DL16 6JN only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around The Brewery Field to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 5 October 2026.
