Make a day of it

Plan your Spalding United away day

The ground, station, bus station and central pub cluster all sit within a compact walk. The key decisions are whether segregation is operating and where a driver will park for the full match window.

01

Station and centre

Walk from the station, use New Road or Sheep Market after checking admission, then continue to Winfrey Avenue.

02

Clubhouse plan

Go directly to the ground and use the Tulips Clubhouse only after the live fixture notice confirms unsegregated access.

03

Pre-booked driver

Use the named bus-station pay-and-display car park or reserve a legitimate private space, avoiding retail maximum-stay traps.

A sensible 3pm plan

11:45 - arrive at Spalding station or secure a full-duration parking space.

12:00-13:30 - use a mapped check-first venue or the recommended central area and eat before the short final walk.

13:35 - reach Winfrey Avenue, confirm whether segregation applies and enter through the instructed turnstile.

17:00 onwards - walk back to the centre and station, or allow the bus-station and town-centre roads to clear before driving.

Food and pubs

The Tulips Clubhouse is mapped away-friendly for the current unsegregated setup. The Ivy Wall and Priors Oven are verified active but remain check-first, while the compact station, New Road and Sheep Market cluster is the recommended wider area.

Things to do

Ayscoughfee Hall and Gardens and the River Welland are easy central additions before the match. Springfields Outlet is farther north and needs a separate bus, taxi or driving plan.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 5 October 2026.
