Getting there & parking

Sir Halley Stewart Field is an away-day destination where the final approach matters. Check the fixture information before travel because parking, segregation and coach arrangements can change.

Parking options

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

Current August 2026 visitor information says there is no spectator parking inside Sir Halley Stewart Field. The adjacent bus-station car park is the named public pay-and-display option and includes disabled bays.

Nearby retail parks apply a three-hour maximum stay and publish different evening controls. Read every sign rather than treating retail parking as official football parking; longer fixtures and early arrival can exceed the limit.

Private matchday parking

JustPark lists reservable managed spaces and private driveways in Spalding. Search around the stadium postcode, then check the real walking route, access window and cancellation terms before booking.

Private spaces are independent of the club; a very close driveway may still sit inside the post-match traffic queue.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train

Spalding station is only around half a mile from the ground. Walk through the compact centre towards New Road and the bus station, then use Winfrey Avenue for the turnstiles; allow roughly 10-12 minutes rather than taking a taxi.

By bus or coach

The bus station is next to the ground and its public pay-and-display car park, making local services practical. Check the post-match departure before travel. Visiting coaches and minibuses should obtain a drop-off or parking instruction from the clubs.

Driving

The A16 is the main north-south approach, with the A151 connecting from Bourne and Holbeach. Continue towards the town centre and Winfrey Avenue, but avoid retail car parks unless their displayed match-length terms cover the whole stay.

Use PE11 1DA only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around Sir Halley Stewart Field to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 5 October 2026.
