By train

Sheffield station is around three miles from Hillsborough. The simplest public-transport leg is the Middlewood or Malin Bridge tram from the city centre, followed by a 10-15 minute walk; allow for queuing and service changes after the match.

Check the current local timetable for the final leg to Hillsborough. Away coaches and minibuses should follow the instructions issued by the visiting club and must not assume a public parking bay.

Driving

Motorway traffic normally leaves the M1 at Junction 36 and follows the A61 towards north Sheffield. Penistone Road and Leppings Lane are heavily congested, with road closures and permit-only streets around the stadium.

Use S6 1SW only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

Expect the roads immediately around Hillsborough to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.
