Official matchday parking

The Arena car park beside Palmerston is currently available to spectators on a first-come basis. It is not a reserved guarantee, can fill early and may operate differently for a high-demand match; follow the current fixture notice and stewarding.

Supporters' buses and minibuses cannot use the Arena car park. The club directs them to drop off at Terregles Street or King Street and park on College Mains Road opposite Currys. Accessible parking and Gate H access should be arranged with the clubs before travel.

By train

Dumfries station is about a 20-minute walk from Palmerston Park. Queen of the South's official route crosses Buccleuch Street bridge, follows Glasgow Road, David Street and King Street, then turns beside the Ice Bowl for the visiting entrance. Direct services run from Glasgow, while journeys from England commonly change at Carlisle; protect the return connection for evening or televised games.

By bus or coach

Check the current local timetable for the final leg to Palmerston Park. Away coaches and minibuses should follow the instructions issued by the visiting club and must not assume a public parking bay.

Driving

Dumfries is reached by the A75 from east or west and the A76 from the north. Follow signs towards Lochfield Road, the Ice Bowl and Palmerston Park rather than driving through the narrow streets immediately around Terregles Street. Match traffic concentrates at the Arena entrance and King Street approaches.

Use DG2 9BA only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around Palmerston Park to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.
