Make a day of it

Plan your Oxford City away day

Oxford City combines a compact Marston ground with a city-centre rail base several miles away. The best plan resolves the final bus or taxi first, then uses the pub map and the fixture's segregation notice.

01

Station and route 14

Arrive at Oxford station, use stop R4 and leave enough time for the bus and Horseman Close walk.

02

City centre and X3

Use central Oxford early, then take the X3 to Copse Lane and walk the last five minutes.

03

Pre-booked driver

Buy the £5 stadium product when offered or reserve a legitimate private space, then follow the exact access instructions.

A sensible 3pm plan

11:00 - arrive centrally if adding Oxford's museums, colleges or a meal.

12:30 - use a suitable mapped venue and check the live bus departure.

13:20 - take route 14, the X3 or the planned taxi towards Marston.

14:00 - identify the day's away turnstile, standing area and any covered-seat entitlement.

17:00 - use the checked return stop or allow Marsh Lane traffic to clear before driving.

Food and pubs

The MGroup Stadium Away Bar is mapped as the current designated visiting option. The Red Lion, Victoria Arms and Up In Arms are verified active but remain check-first; Oxford city centre is the recommended wider area and the away concourse is shown separately.

Things to do

The Bodleian Library, Ashmolean Museum and historic university centre suit an early arrival. They are well away from Marsh Lane, so protect enough time for route 14, the X3 or a taxi to Marston.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 4 October 2026.
