11:30 - arrive at Newport station or a central car park.

Food and pubs
The Newport pub map uses current visiting guidance to separate the central choices from uncertain matchday options. The centre is close enough that there is little benefit in searching beside the turnstiles.
Things to do
Newport Market, the Riverfront and Newport Cathedral fit a central visit. Tredegar House is farther out and works better for drivers or an overnight stay.
Hotels near Rodney Parade
Gateway Hotel is on the east side of the centre and close to Rodney Parade. Mercure Newport is central and convenient for the station, restaurants and the river crossing.
