The Riverside does not advertise a dependable general pay-on-arrival stadium car park for visiting cars. Matchday spaces around the river and industrial area are independently operated or fixture-controlled, so verify the operator, charge and closing time before entering.

Away coaches and accessible parking use managed arrangements that must be booked in advance. Rail or a pre-booked town-centre/private space is safer than relying on street parking beside the A66.

By train

Middlesbrough station is around 15 minutes from the Riverside. Leave towards Bridge Street, use the signed route under the railway and continue east past the docks; confirm the last connection through Darlington or York for longer journeys.

Check the current local timetable for the final leg to Riverside Stadium. Away coaches and minibuses should follow the instructions issued by the visiting club and must not assume a public parking bay.

Driving

Use the A66 and take the signed stadium exit, then follow the parking or coach instructions issued for the fixture. The riverside road system and A66 merge points queue heavily after large matches.

Use TS3 6RS only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

Expect the roads immediately around Riverside Stadium to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.
