Getting there & parking

Gallagher Stadium is an away-day destination where the final approach matters. Check the fixture information before travel because parking, segregation and coach arrangements can change.

Parking options

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

General supporter parking is not available at the Gallagher Stadium; the on-site area is reserved on first-team matchdays. The club directs drivers to town-centre car parks including Invicta House at weekends, Maidstone East station, Fremlin Walk and Lockmeadow, each with its own tariff and closing conditions.

Check the current fixture notice before driving, especially for accessible spaces, coaches and any road-management changes. Use a lawful public car park or pre-booked private/event space for the full match window rather than surrounding business or residential land.

Private matchday parking

JustPark lists reservable managed spaces and private driveways in Maidstone. Search around the stadium postcode, then check the real walking route, access window and cancellation terms before booking.

Private spaces are independent of the club; a very close driveway may still sit inside the post-match traffic queue.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train

Maidstone East is the closest station, about seven to ten minutes on foot via Sandling Road and James Whatman Way. Maidstone Barracks is another useful option at roughly 12-16 minutes. Check engineering work and the last return before an evening fixture.

By bus or coach

Arriva routes 101 and 155 serve the County Hall area close to the stadium, with other services terminating in Maidstone town centre. Check the live stop and return time because Saturday traffic and diversions can affect the final leg.

Driving

From the M20 use Junction 6 and follow the A229 towards Maidstone, then signs for the town centre and James Whatman Way. The stadium approach is narrow and reserved parking is controlled, so do not enter it without a pass or current instruction.

Use ME14 1LQ only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around Gallagher Stadium to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 9 October 2026.
