Make a day of it
Forfar is a traditional small-ground trip built around bus connections or a carefully parked car. The 1984 Lounge gives the clearest mixed-supporter meeting point, but the terrace and entrance depend on segregation.
Change to a checked 20 or 20A bus and allow recovery time for the return connection.
Use The Cross or Market Street, then walk north to Station Park and the published turnstile.
Follow the club's public-parking advice or reserve a private space, then complete the approach on foot.
11:15 - arrive in Dundee for the checked bus, or park at the confirmed Forfar location.
12:10-13:35 - use the town centre, Plough Inn or all-supporter 1984 Lounge.
13:40 - confirm segregation and whether the ticket is standing or seated.
14:05 - enter the named terrace or Main Stand section and check the kiosk payment method.
17:00 - walk back to Market Muir or the town-centre bus stop with the Dundee connection in hand.
The 1984 Lounge explicitly welcomes home and away supporters. The Plough Inn and Bar 10 are verified but mapped check-first, Forfar town centre is the recommended wider area, and the stadium concourse is shown separately.
The Meffan Museum and Art Gallery and Forfar Loch fit an early arrival. Glamis Castle needs additional travel and opening checks, so it works better with a car or an overnight plan than a tight same-day bus connection.
These options keep the final matchday journey relatively short. Compare event-night prices, parking and cancellation terms before booking.
A central base is usually better for the station, food and the evening after the match.
Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 29 September 2026.
