Parking options

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

Forfar Athletic says parking beside Station Park is very restricted and advises supporters to use Market Muir, north of the town centre, then walk to the ground. Treat it as public, unreserved parking and follow current signs, restrictions and any event changes.

Accessible parking and any coach or minibus position must be arranged in advance. Do not block Carseview Road, nearby homes or operational stadium spaces, and allow for the walk back to Market Muir after the final whistle.

Private matchday parking

JustPark lists reservable managed spaces and private driveways in Forfar. Search around the stadium postcode, then check the real walking route, access window and cancellation terms before booking.

Private spaces are independent of the club; a very close driveway may still sit inside the post-match traffic queue.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train

Forfar has no railway station. The practical rail connection is Dundee, then a bus from Dundee Bus Station. Build a generous connection into both directions, especially after an evening match, and check the last bus before buying a return train.

By bus or coach

Forfar Athletic's current guide recommends Stagecoach routes 20 and 20A from Dundee Bus Station. Services towards Forfar and Kirriemuir pass the end of Station Park Road; the club suggests County Buildings or the town centre depending on the service. Check the live timetable and return stop.

Driving

Forfar is reached from the A90. Leave for the town and follow local signs towards Carseview Road and Station Park, but do not drive to the ground expecting a public bay. The stadium approach is residential and the club recommends parking at Market Muir when stadium space is unavailable.

Use DD8 3BT only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around Parkgrove Stadium @ Station Park to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 29 September 2026.
