Make a day of it
Folkestone supports two good rail plans: West for a direct ground-and-Dugout day, or Central for pubs, food and hotels before the walk. Driving needs a confirmed town, station or private space.
Use the closest station, walk to The Dugout and confirm the visitor entrance before joining the turnstile queue.
Arrive at Folkestone Central, use a mapped check-first venue, then walk or take a short taxi to the cricket-ground entrance.
Reserve a lawful Folkestone driveway or managed space for the full event window and avoid the bowls-club and restricted streets.
11:45 - arrive at Folkestone West, Folkestone Central or the parking location reserved for the match.
12:00-13:25 - use The Dugout or a correctly categorised central venue and eat before the turnstiles become busy.
13:30 - check segregation and enter through the Cricket Ground or other entrance printed for the fixture.
17:00 onwards - walk to the chosen station or allow Cheriton Road and nearby event parking to clear.
The Dugout has a current explicit welcome for visiting supporters and is the strongest close option. Bouverie Tap and The Firkin Alehouse are verified active but remain check-first; Folkestone Central and Cheriton Place form the recommended wider area, with the visitor concourse mapped separately.
Folkestone Harbour Arm, the Creative Quarter and The Leas suit an early arrival or overnight stay but are south of the stadium. Leave time for the uphill return to Cheriton Road or use a checked bus or taxi.
These options keep the final matchday journey relatively short. Compare event-night prices, parking and cancellation terms before booking.
A central base is usually better for the station, food and the evening after the match.
Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 8 October 2026.
