Make a day of it
Fleetwood rewards advance transport planning. Keep the day local around Highbury and the seafront, or use Blackpool as the rail and overnight base with a carefully timed onward journey.
Use Jim's Bar or the town-centre pubs, then walk to the Percy Ronson Stand.
Use the tram for the coastal leg and allow plenty of time for the return connection.
Reserve parking, approach via the A585 and avoid a tight arrival through Cleveleys.
10:30-11:00 - reach Fleetwood, or leave Blackpool early enough for the tram.
12:15 - use Jim's Bar, Strawberry Gardens or a central Fleetwood option.
14:15 - enter through the correct terrace or seated gate.
17:00 - expect a measured journey back towards the A585, Poulton or Blackpool.
The Fleetwood map covers Jim's Bar, Strawberry Gardens, the Thomas Drummond and the King's Arms. Most central options are within a manageable walk of Highbury.
Fleetwood Museum, the Mount and the seafront fit an earlier arrival. Opening can be seasonal, so verify before building the day around an attraction.
The North Euston Hotel is the best-known central base near the seafront. The Savoy and New Boston Hotel are smaller local alternatives; check current availability and reviews.
Blackpool has the widest range and better rail links, but it adds a lengthy tram or road transfer. A hotel near Blackpool North or a convenient tram stop is the practical choice.
Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 11 September 2026.
