Fleetwood Town travel guide

Getting there & parking

Fleetwood has no National Rail station. Most rail journeys finish at Poulton-le-Fylde or Blackpool North, followed by a bus, taxi or Blackpool Tram connection to the town.

Parking options

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

Highbury has only limited stadium parking and it should not be assumed to be available to general visiting supporters. Official away coaches are directed to their designated drop-off or parking area.

Check Fleetwood Town's current stadium guide for fixture-specific arrangements and arrange accessible parking in advance.

Private matchday parking

JustPark has a Highbury Stadium destination page with reservable spaces, including private driveways and managed parking in Fleetwood. Check walking distance and any matchday access instructions before paying.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train and tram

Poulton-le-Fylde is the closest National Rail station but is roughly eight miles from Highbury. A taxi or bus is required from there.

Blackpool North offers another route: walk or transfer to the tramway, travel north to Fleetwood and allow a further walk from a central stop to Park Avenue. Check late and Sunday services before relying on the return.

By bus

Local buses connect Fleetwood with Poulton, Cleveleys and Blackpool. Choose a service that reaches Fleetwood town centre or the Poulton Road area and leave extra time for coastal traffic.

Driving

The usual approach is via the M55, A585 and Fleetwood Road. The final roads through Thornton-Cleveleys and Fleetwood can be slow, so do not base arrival time only on motorway mileage.

Highbury sits beside Memorial Park in a residential area; check restrictions and avoid blocking driveways.

After the match

Road traffic has only a few practical routes out of Fleetwood. Public-transport users should know the stop and time for the return leg before entering the ground.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 11 September 2026.
