Getting there & parking

Dens Park is north of central Dundee, roughly 1.8 miles from the railway station and only a few hundred yards from Tannadice. The uphill walk is manageable, but the football-event parking zone makes a planned bus, public car park or reserved space important.

Official matchday parking

Dundee FC does not provide general stadium parking for visiting supporters. Club-controlled spaces are for permits, operations and pre-arranged accessible users; official coaches are normally directed to Neish Street under the fixture instructions.

Current club guidance identifies designated Blue Badge locations on the east side of Provost Road, north side of Isla Street and Sandeman Street. These remain subject to matchday controls and should be confirmed before travel.

By train

Dundee station is beside the waterfront and around a 30-35 minute uphill walk from Dens Park via the city centre. Allow more time in poor weather or with children.

Direct trains link Dundee with Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and much of central Scotland. Check the return service and any engineering work before travelling.

By bus or taxi

Frequent city buses run north from the centre towards Strathmartine Road, Dens Road and Clepington Road, leaving a short walk. Routes and stops can change under matchday controls, so note the return stop.

A taxi is a short journey in normal traffic but can be delayed inside the event zone. Arrange a collection point away from Sandeman Street after full-time.

Driving

The A90 gives the main road approach around Dundee. Navigate to your chosen car park rather than the stadium postcode because the final residential streets are controlled on football event days.

Dundee City Council's restricted zone covers Dens and adjacent Tannadice. Signs identify the boundary and unauthorised matchday parking can be enforced; do not rely on street parking beside either ground.

After the match

Traffic from both Dundee grounds converges on the same local roads. Walking towards the centre or waiting for the first surge to clear is usually more predictable than booking a tight taxi or rail connection.
