Getting there & parking

Crabble Athletic Ground is an away-day destination where the final approach matters. Check the fixture information before travel because parking, segregation and coach arrangements can change.

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

Dover Athletic's current Visit Crabble page says there is no supporter parking inside the football ground. Parking is available at the rugby ground on the lower level just inside the main complex entrance, where stewards direct vehicles.

Availability, any charge, coach separation and the accessible arrangement can vary, so do not treat the lower field as a guaranteed reserved space. The football ground is reached by a steep climb from that level; contact the club before travel if a close drop-off or mobility assistance is required.

Private matchday parking

JustPark lists reservable managed spaces and private driveways in Dover. Search around the stadium postcode, then check the real walking route, access window and cancellation terms before booking.

Private spaces are independent of the club; a very close driveway may still sit inside the post-match traffic queue.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train

Kearsney is the closest station, about 10-15 minutes on foot. Dover Athletic's official route turns right from the station, passes under the railway bridge, follows Lower Road past the pond and Crabble Corn Mill, then turns right at The Cricketers for the ground entrance. Some London Victoria trains do not stop, so check the service rather than assuming.

By bus or coach

Dover Priory is roughly two miles from Crabble and is better connected for High Speed and Charing Cross services; the club recommends a bus or taxi rather than the long uphill walk. Check Stagecoach's live Dover and River stops and the last practical return. Coaches must follow the fixture instruction for the lower complex.

Driving

From the M25 use the M2 and A2 towards Dover, take the Whitfield roundabout exit for Dover North and River, then follow Whitfield Hill and London Road. At the traffic lights turn sharply right into Crabble Road, pass under the railway bridge and use the signed complex entrance on the left.

Use CT17 0JB only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around Crabble Athletic Ground to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 7 October 2026.
