Make a day of it
Stamford Bridge is simplest by District line, with Earl's Court providing the clearest established pub area for visitors. The key decisions are the Shed tier and a less congested post-match station.
Use the mapped away-friendly pubs, then walk 20-25 minutes or take the District line one stop.
Arrive close to the ground, head straight to the Shed End and use the cashless concourse.
Stay around Earl's Court or Kensington for rail connections, museums and a straightforward matchday route.
11:45 - arrive at Earl's Court or West Brompton and use a mapped away-friendly venue.
13:25 - walk or take the District line towards Fulham Broadway.
13:45 - identify Shed Upper or Lower and join the correct security queue.
17:00 onwards - consider Earl's Court or West Brompton if Fulham Broadway is heavily managed.
The Courtfield, The Blackbird, Earl's Court Tavern and Prince of Teck are mapped away-friendly. The Butcher's Hook and Chelsea Pensioner are home-only, Earl's Court is the recommended wider area, and the Shed concourse is the post-entry fallback.
The King's Road, Natural History Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum fit an early West London arrival. Brompton Cemetery is a quieter nearby walk, subject to opening times.
These options keep the final matchday journey relatively short. Compare event-night prices, parking and cancellation terms before booking.
A central base is usually better for the station, food and the evening after the match.
Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 3 October 2026.
