Getting there & parking

Stamford Bridge is an away-day destination where the final approach matters. Check the fixture information before travel because parking, segregation and coach arrangements can change.

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

Chelsea advises public transport because parking around Stamford Bridge is extremely limited. General visiting supporters should not expect a turn-up stadium space, and official away-coach parking is limited and must be arranged in advance.

Accessible parking and drop-off are tightly controlled and should be requested through the visiting club and Chelsea before matchday. The confirmation, not a Blue Badge alone, is the authority to enter.

Private matchday parking

JustPark lists reservable managed spaces and private driveways in London. Search around the stadium postcode, then check the real walking route, access window and cancellation terms before booking.

Private spaces are independent of the club; a very close driveway may still sit inside the post-match traffic queue.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train

Fulham Broadway on the District line is the closest station and sits only a short walk from Stamford Bridge. West Brompton and Earl's Court provide useful alternatives, particularly because the immediate station and platforms become crowded after full-time.

By bus or coach

Frequent TfL buses use Fulham Road and nearby King's Road, but matchday traffic and crowd-management measures can slow them. Official coaches receive a separate limited parking instruction from the clubs.

Driving

Stamford Bridge has no dependable general supporter car park and sits in a dense controlled-parking area. Public transport is the default; drivers need a legal pre-booked space outside the immediate stadium footprint and must check London charging zones.

Use SW6 1HS only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around Stamford Bridge to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 3 October 2026.
