Ashton Gate is close enough to Bristol's harbourside for a full day out but far enough from Temple Meads that the final leg needs a bus, local train or long walk.

Head towards Southville and Bedminster for food and drink, then make the shorter final walk to Ashton Gate.

Pre-book official or private parking and approach early; do not search the residential streets around the stadium at the last minute.
A sensible 3pm plan
11:00 - arrive at Temple Meads and move towards the harbourside or Southville.
12:00-13:30 - use a mapped away-friendly venue and eat before leaving the wider centre.
13:30 - allow at least 30-45 minutes for the final walk or bus and stadium checks.
17:00 onwards - walk back towards the harbour while Winterstoke Road traffic clears, or use the planned connection.
Food and pubs
The Rose of Denmark, Avon Packet, Nova Scotia, Tobacco Factory and Pravha Lounge are mapped for visitors. The Rising Sun and Robins are home-only, while the away fan village and Atyeo concourse depend on the fixture setup.
Things to do
The harbourside, M Shed and SS Great Britain fit naturally into a rail-based day. North Street has independent food and street art closer to the stadium; Clifton needs more time and an uphill detour.
