Make a day of it
Billericay station and High Street provide the best food-and-pub base, with New Lodge a separate residential walk to the south-west. Parking is scarce enough to resolve before setting off.
Arrive by rail, use The Crown or the wider High Street after checking admission, then allow 25 minutes for the walk to New Lodge.
Go directly to the ground and use the clubhouse only after the current match information confirms unsegregated access.
Reserve a legitimate private space or use a signed public car park and walk, never parking on Blunts Wall Road.
11:30 - arrive at Billericay station or park in the space booked for the full match window.
11:45-13:25 - use a mapped check-first venue or the wider High Street area and eat before leaving.
13:30 - begin the walk to New Lodge and confirm whether segregation is operating.
17:00 onwards - return towards the High Street and station or allow Blunts Wall Road and Tye Common Road to clear before driving.
The New Lodge Clubhouse is mapped away-friendly for the normal unsegregated setup, but it can close to visitors when segregation applies. The Crown and Inn on the Green are current visiting-guide recommendations yet remain check-first; the High Street and station form the recommended wider area.
Lake Meadows is north of the station and works for an early arrival, while the Cater Museum sits on the High Street. Norsey Wood is farther east and needs extra walking or a separate driving plan.
These options keep the final matchday journey relatively short. Compare event-night prices, parking and cancellation terms before booking.
A central base is usually better for the station, food and the evening after the match.
Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 5 October 2026.
