Getting there & parking

The Eyrie is an away-day destination where the final approach matters. Check the fixture information before travel because parking, segregation and coach arrangements can change.

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

Bedford Town lists about 120 spaces at The Eyrie and an overflow area at Dunbia for roughly 250 vehicles. A third grass overflow is used only in suitable summer conditions, so availability is weather- and fixture-dependent.

A visiting guide dated 3 September 2026 listed parking at £1 and first-come, first-served. Treat that as a recent fixture example rather than a permanent price, arrive early and follow stewards to the correct area.

Private matchday parking

JustPark lists reservable managed spaces and private driveways in Bedford. Search around the stadium postcode, then check the real walking route, access window and cancellation terms before booking.

Private spaces are independent of the club; a very close driveway may still sit inside the post-match traffic queue.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train

The Eyrie is outside the town and is not a sensible walk from Bedford station. Bedford Town recommends a taxi, normally around 10-15 minutes in clear traffic, or the short walk to Bedford bus station for the 72 or 73 service.

By bus or coach

Stagecoach routes 72 and 73 run from Bedford bus station towards Cardington and stop on Meadow Lane outside the ground. Check the current timetable and last return because evening and Sunday frequencies can differ.

Driving

Approach Cardington from the A421 and A603, then follow Meadow Lane to The Eyrie. Do not park at the neighbouring Bedford FC/Real Bedford ground: Bedford Town warns that its gate may be locked before you return.

Use MK44 3LW only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around The Eyrie to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 30 September 2026.
