Getting there & parking

Villa Park is an away-day destination where the final approach matters. Check the fixture information before travel because parking, segregation and coach arrangements can change.

Parking options

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

Villa Park has limited matchday parking and spaces should be booked for the individual fixture through Aston Villa's travel portal or the operator named in the current match guide.

Do not drive to the stadium expecting to pay at a general public car park. The North Stand redevelopment changes access around the North Grounds, and official lots can be held while the traffic exclusion zone clears.

Private matchday parking

JustPark lists reservable managed spaces and private driveways in Birmingham. Search around the stadium postcode, then check the real walking route, access window and cancellation terms before booking.

Private spaces are independent of the club; a very close driveway may still sit inside the post-match traffic queue.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train

Witton is the closest station to the visiting turnstiles and has matchday services from Birmingham New Street on the Walsall line. The station and trains become very busy after full-time, so check the exact timetable and allow for managed queues.

By bus or coach

The AV82 matchday shuttle runs between Dudley Street, beside Birmingham New Street, and Villa Park. Aston Villa's 2026 information says services begin three hours before kick-off and run at roughly 15-minute intervals, with return journeys for up to an hour after full-time; confirm the fixture timetable before relying on it.

Driving

Use M6 Junction 6 and follow official event signs. A traffic exclusion zone covers Witton Lane and Trinity Road from up to two hours before kick-off and for 30-60 minutes after full-time, while surrounding residential permit zones are enforced.

Use B6 6HE only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around Villa Park to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 1 October 2026.
