Getting there & parking

Southport FC Stadium is an away-day destination where the final approach matters. Check the fixture information before travel because parking, segregation and coach arrangements can change.

Parking options

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

Southport's current official guidance says the small stadium car park is reserved for players and officials. General supporters must use lawful surrounding-street parking and observe residents' access and every restriction.

There is no official reserved away car park. Blue Badge or drop-off requirements should be discussed with the club before travel rather than relying on a nearby kerb space.

Private matchday parking

JustPark lists reservable managed spaces and private driveways in Southport. Search around the stadium postcode, then check the real walking route, access window and cancellation terms before booking.

Private spaces are independent of the club; a very close driveway may still sit inside the post-match traffic queue.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train

Meols Cop is the nearest station and Southport's official directions put the walk at about ten minutes: turn left into Norwood Road, pass the Thatch & Thistle and use Haig Avenue opposite. Southport station offers many more services but is around 20-25 minutes on foot.

By bus or coach

The club currently directs town-centre arrivals to the number 44 from Eastbank Street towards Haig Avenue. Check the live timetable and the post-match return before relying on it, especially for evening or moved kick-offs. Visiting coaches should follow the instructions issued with the fixture.

Driving

Use the A570 from the M58 and Ormskirk or the A565 approach from the north and coast, then follow signs for Haig Avenue. The ground sits in a residential area and has no public supporter car park, so do not arrive expecting an on-site space.

Use PR8 6JZ only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around Southport FC Stadium to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 5 October 2026.
