Make a day of it
Slough is a compact station-to-ground trip with several central choices. The strongest plans are rail plus the Wheatsheaf, a short central stop followed by Stoke Road, or pre-booked school/private parking after checking the fixture notice.
Arrive at Slough station, use the verified away-friendly pub while its live door policy permits, then allow about 20 minutes to the published turnstile.
Use the Moon and Spoon or wider centre only after checking colours and group admission, then walk north along Stoke Road.
Book St Joseph's through the current club link or reserve a Slough driveway or managed space for the full event window; do not target Arbour Park itself.
11:50 - arrive at Slough station or the parking location confirmed for the entire match window.
12:00-13:20 - eat at the Wheatsheaf or a correctly categorised central option after confirming matchday admission.
13:25 - walk up Stoke Road, check the live turnstile and complete any age-ID requirement before joining the queue.
17:00 onwards - return to the station or allow the school car parks and Stoke Road traffic to clear before driving.
The Wheatsheaf has the strongest current away-supporter evidence. The Red Lion and Moon and Spoon are verified active but remain check-first; Slough station and the centre provide the wider recommended area, and the stadium concourse is mapped separately.
Slough Museum, Herschel Park and the town-centre library fit an early arrival. Windsor Castle is a possible longer detour, but it needs a separate rail or bus leg and enough margin to return to Stoke Road.
These options keep the final matchday journey relatively short. Compare event-night prices, parking and cancellation terms before booking.
A central base is usually better for the station, food and the evening after the match.
Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 10 October 2026.
