Make a day of it

Plan your Salisbury away day

Salisbury is best planned around the city centre and a deliberate final leg to Old Sarum. Rail arrivals should check PR11, while drivers need an early stadium or Beehive plan rather than residential parking.

01

Rail and PR11

Arrive at Salisbury station, use the city centre, then take the live-checked PR11 service or a taxi towards Old Sarum.

02

Old Sarum food stop

Use the Old Castle only after checking matchday admission and its customer-parking terms, then continue to the Ray Mac without leaving the car there.

03

Early driver

Target the limited £4 stadium car park while the live notice offers it, with Beehive Park & Ride or a lawful pre-booked space as fallback.

A sensible 3pm plan

11:30 - arrive in Salisbury or at the parking location confirmed for the whole event window.

11:45-13:10 - eat in the city centre or at a mapped check-first option, allowing for the three-mile final leg.

13:15 - take PR11 or a taxi, or drive early to the stadium or Beehive alternative and check the current gate arrangement.

17:00 onwards - use the checked return bus or allow Partridge Way and the limited car parks to clear before driving.

Food and pubs

The Rude Giant Sports Bar is the clearest on-site mixed-supporter option at normal shared fixtures. The Old Castle and King's Head Inn are verified active but remain check-first; Salisbury station and city centre form the recommended wider area.

Things to do

Salisbury Cathedral, the Market Place and The Salisbury Museum suit an early city-centre arrival. Old Sarum is closer to the stadium but needs enough time for its opening hours, walking route and the final leg to Partridge Way.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 9 October 2026.
