Make a day of it

Plan your Radcliffe away day

Radcliffe is a tram-and-walk away day with a segregated terrace and limited general parking. The centre and market work well before the match, but public pubs remain check-first and the final 20-minute walk must be protected.

01

Tram and town centre

Use the Bury line to Radcliffe, stop in the centre only at a suitable venue, then follow the signed Ainsworth Road walk.

02

Direct bus

Check route 98 and the return timetable, using the club's current stop guidance rather than an old journey plan.

03

Confirmed driver

Use Radcliffe Cricket Club only when the match preview confirms it, or reserve a legitimate private driveway or event space.

A sensible 3pm plan

11:45 - reach Radcliffe by tram or the confirmed parking space.

12:00-13:25 - use the market area or a checked mapped pub without assuming colours admission.

13:30 - begin the 20-minute walk via Spring Lane and Ainsworth Road.

14:00 - follow away signage to the Fell End and confirm the ticket or collection method.

17:00 - walk back towards the tram while the residential approaches and car parks clear.

Food and pubs

The Victoria Hotel, Bridge Tavern and Lock Keeper are verified active but remain check-first because none publishes a permanent away-colours policy. Radcliffe town centre and market form the recommended wider area; the Fell End concourse is the reliable post-turnstile option.

Things to do

Radcliffe Market provides a compact food-hall stop in the centre. With more time, Bury Market, the Fusilier Museum and East Lancashire Railway are reachable by tram, but protect the return journey to Radcliffe and the 20-minute stadium walk.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 4 October 2026.
