By train

Longport is roughly 1.5 miles from Vale Park and the uphill walk can take around 30 minutes. Service frequency is more limited than at Stoke-on-Trent.

Stoke-on-Trent station has broader mainline connections but is around four miles away; use a through bus or taxi and allow for matchday traffic.

Buses link Hanley, Stoke station and Burslem. Check the final stop and return service, especially for evening matches, because Vale Park is uphill from the town centre.

Driving

The A500 is the key approach from the M6, with onward routes towards Tunstall and Burslem. Use the postcode supplied by the car park rather than the stadium postcode if parking north of the ground.

Town-centre and residential restrictions are enforced, and the main exits become congested after full-time.

After the match

The hillside roads and A500 approaches can queue. If using Longport, allow enough time for the walk and do not rely on an unrealistically tight connection.
